Camperships

Camperships and Scholarships
These gifts, which range from $10 to $1000, help children and women access programs that are otherwise too expensive. Often they are given by service clubs, as memorial gifts, or as annual donations. Scholarships for all YWCA programs are awarded monthly and cover anywhere from 50 to 100 percent of fees, depending on income.

Century Club
Century Club
Gifts to Century Club go to support the endowment fund of the YWCA. An annual fall brunch, hosted by YWCA members, celebrates the generosity of those who donate $100 or more to this fund. All YWCA members are invited to participate and attend. Endowment funds are permanent funds, they are never spent, and the interest on their investment is used to support operating costs. The YWCA Board of Directors manages most of the funds; other funds are held at the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation.

Open Door

Open Door
This important annual fund supports the YWCA operating costs. In this campaign members are asked to contribute; and gifts range from $10 to $2500. Often members send in a contribution when they renew their membership. As in all gifts, members can direct their gifts to a specific program or a specific use; and many do so.

Long time member and volunteer, Ruth Parry, will be featured this year in the Sioux Falls YWCA Open Door Campaign.  Please read more about how the YWCA has impacted Ruth's life over the years as well as the lives of family members by reading the annual fund drive brochure you will receive in the mail or by calling the YWCA.

If you would like to volunteer in our call center May 9-10, please call 605-336-3660

Sioux Empire United Way
The YWCA is one of over 40 agencies supported by our local United Way. About 15 percent of annual contributed dollars come from the community through the United Way. Programs supported include child care, aquatics and water safety, senior wellness and youth recreation. When you give to the United Way, the YWCA receives your support.
