SCHOOL AGE SUMMER PROGRAM!
We are very excited about our new summer program, as we have added several enhancements to an already GREAT summer experience!
WHO: This program is open to any child who has completed kindergarten through 5th grade.
WHEN: The YWCA Avera Summer Care Program for school-age youth will begin on May 19th. The program will run through the entire summer - 13 consecutive weeks - through August 15th. (Sioux Falls public schools are scheduled to begin on August 18th).
WHERE: The Summer Care Program will be provided at TWO YWCA childcare locations: 300 W. 11th Street in downtown Sioux Falls AND 3510 Ralph Rogers Road in southwest Sioux Falls.
OUR PROGRAM: Every day of the Summer Care Program is PACKED with FUN things to do and see! We will go SWIMMING in our own pool (at the downtown location) and utilize the Sioux Falls public pools as well. If requested, we will be glad to arrange for weekly SWIMMING LESSONS! We'll have DAILY ACTIVITIES in recreational sports and games, art, math & science, computer, reading and cooking! Participants will also enjoy WEEKLY FIELD TRIPS to local businesses and attractions throughout the area! Children will be grouped with friends their own age with age-appropriate activities.
COST: $30 enrollment fee or $45 enrollment fee for multiple children in family
5 days per week, $110 per week which includes 5 credit days throughout the summer
4 days per week, $95 per week
3 days per week, $75 per week
Note: Part time slots are limited. We also offer a sliding fee based on family size and income. Multiple child discounts are available.
HOURS: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday

After School Care
After school care is provided at the YWCA South. K-5th graders who attend Discovery,
Oscar Howe, Harrisburg Explorer and JFK Elementary Schools can ride the YWCA South bus to the
center for enrichment activities, gym time and an after school snack. Time is also set aside for students with homework so that evenings can be spent with family.
Fee: $60 weekly
